Rich Frowning is the fittest man on earth!  Its a big title and this man has earned the worthiness of such. Grueling challenge, after grueling challenge, posted up against some of the best overall athletes in the world.  To the test of the CROSSFIT GAMES standards, this man stands atop the podium.  It’s actually a pretty great story.  Rich Frowning was the runner up at last years Crossfit Games.  He had a pretty commanding lead headed into the final event of the 2010 games, when in came rope climbs to the WOD.  Now mind you, these are high level athletes and a rope climb wasn’t going to stop him, right?  Well it was the high quantity of rope climbs that wore on him, as it would on any athlete performing them without proper form.  And to that demise, Rich Frowning’s grip came loose on one of the rope climbs and he came crashing down(literally) along side  his dreams of being crowned THE FITTEST MAN ON EARTH.  One year later, he looked as determined and focused as any athlete id ever seen.  One challenge after another scoring a top of the rankings.  It didn’t seem to phase him.  From a 175 foot handstand walk to a 255 Snatch lift, this man could do it all!  Congrats to Rich for his comeback a year later to achieve his goal.  I’m sure he worked hard and was very deserving of it!

A few of us actually made the trek out to Carson, CA to witness some of this awesomeness and it did not disappoint.  This atmosphere is something every crossfitter should experience at some point.  Ive got only one word (cliche) to describe it, EPIC!  The heart, soul, blood, sweat, and tears(more cliches) these athletes left on the arena is nothing short of inspiring and they are all champions in my eyes(Ha, another cliche). I just felt lucky to be a part of all this not to mention all the free stuff we got!  All in all, it was a great time with good folks and I hope we can get more of us out there next year.

On another note, Crossfit Tracy’s softball team won its first game of the season in rather simple form.  It was an absolute blast getting out there on the field with everyone.  It sure takes the weight off our shoulders cashing in on our first victory and starting off our softball record with an undefeated 1-0.   I’m predicting a solid season and a winning record.  I’ve got confidence in our Crossfitters and friends.  Also, thanks to everyone who wasn’t playing but still made it out to cheer us on!  Ill post the schedule as soon as i get it.
